Tisha Campbell Martin will be co-hosting the NAACP Luncheon with her best-friend with whom she’s known since they were twelve years old, Tichina Arnold. The Luncheon is to honor all the nominees this year. Tichina says, “I can’t wait! And why the HELL would they put us together?!” “I know right? Tisha confirms. “They usually separate us. They won’t even allow us to sit together at the award shows, especially the LIVE ones. Now they’ve asked us to host the luncheon?” Tisha and Tichina are doubled over laughing. Tichina continues, “Don’t they remember what happened at the last luncheon?!” “Ooh we really cut up…,” Tisha chuckles. “In front of the sponsors too.” “They kept telling us to shut up and behave. They betta’ be glad they’re not filmin’ it,” Tichina teases.
Tisha is currently writing her third sit-com pilot, writing her children’s books and is set to film a cameo for Kevin Williamson’s new romantic comedy. Kevin wrote, “Screams 2& 3,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and created “Dawson’s Creek.” Tisha will also be seen on BET for the launch of, “Boomerang.”

Duane’s love for sports and entrepreneurial spirit continues to inspire him and the company he co-founded with Mitch Frankle, IMPACT SPORTS Management Company. They are currently serving 50 clients in the NFL, NHL, and MLB. Duane has also launched a real estate company. One of his ventures he is very excited about will help to revitalize homes in the inner-city by giving underprivileged families the rare opportunity to become home owners.

Despite rumors Tisha and Duane will be celebrating eighteen years together come March 2008 and 12 years of marriage on August 17, 2008. Regarding rumors of a break up Duane says, “We will defend our seventeen year relationship. Nobody is touching that. So, whoever wants to rumble let’s rumble.” Tisha admits she wasn’t paying the rumors, bloggers or shock jocks any mind until they mistakenly reported that she was older than Duane. Tisha jokingly reflects, “That’s when I said, Oh hell no!! Babe, we gotta’ sue somebody!!” Smiling Duane continues with a bit more seriousness, “Someone told us that if you have certain people attacking you on this kind of level…you must be doing something right. So, we will continue to fight for our relationship, our family and our community.”

Xen is the most amazing, strong, spiritual, little being I’ve ever met,” says his mommy. “Xen enjoys playing the drums, riding his skateboard, and going to church. Someone just taught him that dumb song, ‘Beans, beans, good for your heart. The more you eat the more you fart!’ He won’t stop singing it!” Tisha laughs.
