Duane MartinDuane Martin is a triple threat in Hollywood. Not only do his good looks and impeccable comedic timing earn him respect in the acting arena, but he is also a successful writer and producer.

Martin wrote, produced and starred in THE SEAT FILLER with Kelly Rowland of Destinys Child. This film was chosen to close the eighth annual Urbanworld Film Festival on
August 8, 2004.. He starred opposite LL Cool J and Gabrielle Union in DELIVER US FROM EVA for USA Films/Focus Films. Another film Martin wrote, produced and starred in is RIDE OR DIE opposite Vivica A. Fox. Screen Gems purchased the film, a comedy thriller, after a weeklong bidding war with other studios. Martin wrote the script, raised the financing, shot the movie and sold it all within six months.

Martin is producing another comedy, MOTHER’S DAY, with Will Smith’s company Overbrook Entertainment. He recently sold the golf comedy, INGLEWOODS, to New Line Cinema. Martin will produce this film with Lawrence Bender and will also star opposite Jamie Foxx. The film will be based on Martin’s original concept.

His other acting film credits include THE GROOMSMEN, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY, SCREAM 2, DOWN PERISCOPE, WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP, WOO, THE FACULTY and ABOVE THE RIM.

Martin just wrapped his 4th season of THE CW’s hit comedy series ALL OF US. He stars as Robert James, an entertainment reporter for a local Los Angeles TV station who is handsome, smart and thoroughly modern in his thinking. The show, which is produced by and loosely based on the lives of Martin’s longtime friends, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, has received rave reviews for its innovative and comical look at the ever-typical version of today’s modern family. He is a nominee for the 38th NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series in recognition of his work on the series. Martin’s other television credits include guest star appearances in ABBY, YES DEAR, ONE ON ONE, GIRLFRIENDS, BETWEEN BROTHERS, LIVING SINGLE and FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR. He produced and starred in the acclaimed FOX series GETTING PERSONAL. He was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his role in the CBS telefilm DIFFERENT WORLDS: AN INTERRACIAL LOVE STORY. He also starred opposite Patti LaBelle in OUT ALL NIGHT and hosted 20 episodes of NBC’s late night talk show LATER.

A native of New York and NYU graduate, Martin was drafted by the New York Knicks before pursuing an acting career. His love for sports and his entrepreneurial mind inspired him to start his own sports agency, Impact Sports, sixteen years ago. He is the youngest African-American to own such a company. He brokers deals and handles the careers of many of today’s top athletes in the NFL, NHL and Major League Baseball including future Hall of Famer Cris Carter, all pros David Boston of the Miami Dolphins, Jamal Lewis and Chris McAlister of the Baltimore Ravens, and pitcher Bartolo Colon of the Anaheim Angels.

Martin has launched a real estate company which will revitalize homes in the inner-city – giving underprivileged families the rare opportunity to become home-owners.

Martin lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Tisha Campbell-Martin and their son.
